We take full responsibility for the lift: planning, appointed person, crane and equipment selection, supervision and all supporting documentation. You get a complete, managed operation rather than a crane on hire.

Working at height is risky business and we want everyone home safe. We offer MEWP hire in line with CPA conditions, or a fully managed approach that takes the risk of the works away from you.
Our engineers have years of experience with HIAB transportation. From utility cabinets and telecoms structures to modular buildings, we are best placed to plan your works.
Never get stuck in the mud again. We provide a wide range of ground protection products, with our surveyors selecting the most suitable system for your site and loadings.
A seven day a week storage service with full warehouse support 24 hours a day, built around your equipment and delivery schedule.
As standard we complete a visual on-site survey before the project progresses, capturing everything needed to plan the works through to a safe completion.

Our lift and shift service moves equipment precisely, efficiently and with minimum disruption — from single items through to full factory relocations.
Our electric and low-emission lifting service. Battery-powered R Units, tracked cranes and an EV fleet deliver the same lift with less noise, no diesel on site and measurable carbon savings.
The final leg is where most deliveries go wrong. We take high-value and awkward loads the last mile into live sites, restricted streets and occupied buildings, and place them exactly where they need to be.

AGL assumes full responsibility for the planning, supervision, and execution of each lift, including lift planning, engineering calculations, provision of competent personnel, certified equipment, and on-site management.
This approach enables clients to transfer operational risk to AGL while benefiting from a professional, efficient, and expertly delivered lifting solution, particularly suited to complex, high-risk, or logistically challenging environments.
AGL Insurances
The difference between them is simple: how much of the risk we carry, and how much stays with you.
Platinum cover
AGL's highest level of cover. We accept the risks and take ownership of the lifting operation, leaving minimal risk with you or the end user.
Standard contract lift
We plan and manage the lift, but under standard CPA terms a defined set of responsibilities remains with the hirer.
Plant only
You hire the crane and operator and retain responsibility for planning, supervising and insuring the lifting operation. Suitable only if you hold that competence in-house.
Our lifting process
Every contract lift follows the same structured route, whether it's a single precast panel or a phased steel erection programme.
We assess access, ground conditions, overhead services, exclusion zones and the load itself before anything is priced.
An appointed person produces the lift plan, method statement and risk assessment, with crane selection and rigging specified.
Plant, operator, slinger signaller and any traffic management are booked and coordinated to one programme.
The lift is supervised on site, with live updates issued to your team through AGLive as milestones are hit.
Completion records, inspection certificates and photographic evidence are issued as part of the handover pack.
