SHEQ isn't a separate department at AGL — it's how the work is planned, briefed and recorded. If the plan isn't safe, it isn't the plan.

What SHEQ means on our sites
Each pillar has owners, controls and records — so performance can be demonstrated, not just claimed.
Health
Fatigue, manual handling, noise, vibration and welfare are assessed as part of the plan. Our teams are briefed, trained and supported to raise concerns without hesitation.
Environment
Spill control, waste segregation, emissions and noise are managed on site. We plan routes and plant selection to reduce disruption to neighbours and the local environment.
Quality
Documented inspections, plant certification and completion records mean the evidence pack is complete at handover, not chased afterwards.
How we control it
The controls applied to every project
- Appointed person, lift supervisor and slinger/signaller competence verified before works.
- Site-specific RAMS and lift plans reviewed and approved prior to mobilisation.
- Daily briefings, points of work risk assessments and documented toolbox talks.
- Plant, lifting accessories and LOLER certification checked and recorded.
- Near misses, observations and incidents reported and reviewed for lessons learned.
- Environmental controls and waste management agreed with the principal contractor.
- Live photographic evidence and progress records captured through AGLive.
- Post-works review and completion documentation issued on handover.
